Not bad, but consistent. Alice Springs is full of good one day horrible the next day places. The juicy rump may not have the best food but is consistently good and you know what to expect. Steaks are cooked the way you order them as long as it is rare to med rare (the correct way to eat a good steak), lightly seasoned with only salt n pepper to allow the customer to make the seasoning. Scoth steak is a bit tougher than the ribeye but you get what you pay for. I stay away from the gravy option as gravy just masks good steak, if you eat steak with gravy regularly I feel sorry for your taste buds. Sampler platter is plenty for three people and provides the best value of any plate. Thai beef salad is nothing close to authentic but a decent tangy Asian version. Barramundi Fish and chips is the only hit and miss on the menu, sometimes good and sometimes under cooked. The beer is decent and a great selection on tap. Hey everywhere in the Alice is pricey but the Juicy Rump is reasonable for the portion and quality. If you want perfect food for the best price, stay home and do it yourself. If you want good food done consistently the same way each time you visit, go to the juicy rump. The kitchen has new staff as of 2 months ago.
Worst steak and service I can remember ever having. Ordered an eye fillet and received what appeared to be a scotch fillet that was full of grizzle and so tough I could not eat it. The lettuce on my salad was frozen and not dressed. There was no seasoning on the steak. The potatoes were cold. The sauce was runny and gritty. My glass was dirty. Worst part not one staff member cared. Would not recommend
Terrible. Salad consisted of lettuce and once slice of onion. Asked for a bit more salad and provided with a very thinly sliced piece of tomato. Tempura fish overcooked and thick batter.Other meal waslamb shank and it was served lukewarm! Still Have two more nights to go, looking for other restaurants!
Bit of a hit and miss here with the quality of food. Some nights they are absolutely amazing, and then others completely sub-par. Menu is surprisingly expensive, no steak for under $30, even on the lunch menu. When its good its good, but when its not, its not worth the money.
After waiting for 1/2 hour for my dinner, one can assume my rare to medium steak was on the grill for that whole 1/2 hour as it was well done and for the mushroom sauce, well if can call three half pieces of mushrooms a sauce! Disappointing and will never return.
Hamburger meat good but overcooked .... Local cute and different beers available.
Average at best and I am being generous. The food is pre made, reheated if you are lucky!!!! Probably costs then in most cases $5-$8 to make. If you live in Alice Springs you would not eat here.
A little pricey, but no more than you would see in places like Brisbane, the Ribs were fantastic and the Bar Staff were very friendly.
Worst food in town for the price. No take-away. Seats are ripped and drity. The food is quality expected from a restaurant chain
Pity you cant select a minus star dont waste your money second time worst than the first horrible time
Fun place to have a drink and a bite to eat. They cook a great burger but the salad is a bit flooded.
The.food.wwas.awful, overcooked and dry little salad. Expected better.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff that looked after me. Delicious food!
Top steaks for the wife and I. Fast service and pleasant atmosphere.
The food here is usually pretty good. Decent serves at fair prices.
Good food and service...
Steak is marvellous!!
