We wanted healthy food and a variety of options during a bus tour, and this worked out perfectly. The only issue was all the bitter everywhere, but most people would probably like that--I just wish it had been noted on the menu. The pumpkin soup was a bit bland but okay and fresh. The bruschetta was really loaded up and had lots of balsamic glaze and a big sprig of fresh basil. The lamb stack was two smallish lamb burger patties with a big portobello mushroom, and no bread. They made modifications to the sandwiches and made one custom. They have a nice local nonalcoholic cider. They also do takeout and doggy bags. Friendly and quick service. We comfortably got in for lunch during a bus tour and out in under an hour.
Service is good and staff are friendly. Coffee was okay. Whilst waiting for my coffee and writing this review, it was brought to my attention that perhaps the extended wait was intentional for the customers. Over time I found myself becoming a better person, growing in patience and grace. Overall it was a humbling experience. The only drawback is that the floor was still not clean enough to go barefoot. :( 4.5 stars #blessed #humblebeans #coffee
Very friendly and good service. Owner did not know where the name came from. When I told her that in the 20th and 19th centuries in the UK a Wazegoose was the annual weeks holiday for the printing industry when all printing companies shut down (Like the Wake Week in the North of England) The owner was delighted with this news and told us that many years and owners ago the building had been a printers.
Visited this cafe in Leura to check out their flower pot scones after a few recommendations. The dessert was nice, served in a small clay pot with plenty of jam and fresh cream. The dish was a refreshing twist on regular scones but not sure if it would be worth going out the way for. Overall the cafe had an old feel to it and could use an interior upgrade.
I am not a big fan of pesto but I love mushrooms. I ordered the pesto mushroom on sourdough and by far it is the nice tasting pesto I have ever tasted...so creamy! My bf had the big mountain brekky and I stole his hashbrown, it was super crunchy. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. We came in at 10am. Happy to have a brekky pitstop at Wayzgoose.
Vegetarian breakfast is excellent. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Scones are very nice and fresh but probably best not to eat it after the vegetarian breakfast which is big! Watch out for the parking police in Leura though.
Decent enough coffee and a small place with a traditional feel to it. Heard that the council is going to demolish the whole building and would hate to see that happen to my favourite town in NSW.
Worst experience at a cafe in the upper mountains for a while. There were floaties in the water and the salad was so old it was decomposing. Not worthy of the money expended.
One meal never came (due to very poor management under business service period), no apology given. Very poor customer service. Do not recommend.
Staff are very friendly with brilliant food, the place has improved significantly over the months with a new amazing red lentil soup. Yum Yum
the service is very good coffee excellent, and the scones the best I have had in a long time and very reasonable price.
Water was ok, could have been better water. Ice chocolate had plenty of chocolate and ice which was too predictable!
very poor scones, tasted like muffin dough undercooked and overpriced. scones from woolies would be a better choice.
Your mileage will vary depending on how busy and what mood the staff are in. Food is ok and not too expensive.
Loved the Service and the Coffee and Leura!! Beautiful little City with wonderful nice old Australian Houses
Bit of a wait for your drink and food but worth it and a great atmosphere with polite and helpful staff!
Quaint dinneresque cafe! Lovely staff and delicious food, including there flower pot scones!
Delicious food. We came on a very busy public holiday, but the service was still quick.
Cozy little place. A little pricey and not a huge range but what they have is good.
There was a wait for our order, but the flower pot scones were fresh, hot and tasty.
Nice place to have a afternoon tea. Great cheese bake in the old way. Great coffee.
Really great food, came out very quickly, excellent service, lovely waiter
Good to stop by and have a Devonshire Tea after a bushwalk.
